ABOUT 102 PRACTICE

Dear e-followers,
This practice time of 102 has been piece of cake for me and I'm sure you guys got the same feeling. Good thing is that we  all have started using and practicing the use of email accounts and Novus way before this 102 practice  which made our practice test a lot easier. As far as the use of the digital books, I had a great time doing it. In the beginning I didn't know how to do it but, I figured it out right after I had my first touch of it. I  guess most of us know how to do it by now, even if somebody hasn't had a touch of it yet, it's very easy once you get started. Saving and attaching files is not a big deal. Everybody knows how to do it since it's become essential in this century.
In short, none of us had any problems because we all have been practicing with ahead of time. However, it's important to mention that our trainer did a good job by supporting our understanding of this practice.   We all reached the goals of this 102 practice.

Taking advantage of technology

It's actually very simple once you get started. Technology is a great deal of help for those that learned how to deal with it. I'm sure most of us have already started using it long ago but the question is: Are we making any progress?? Are our computing skills better than before? Is technology making our teaching tasks easier or more difficult? I don't know.... In may case now that I have an interactive class I must say that it's one of the best things I've ever seen since I moved down here. Working at the CBA in Sta Cruz is very fun specially now that we're aware of the good changes it's going trough and we make part of it. So let's be the change we wanna see.

What a nice crazy class!!

This week has been kinda hectic, but I know that every single day we all have the opportunity to learn more as we experience different things and also we can get nice surprises like I did yesterday. When I first heard Mr. Valdivia talking about interactive classes and training to get the skills in order for us to manage it appropriately I said to myself  "I wonder when I'm going to try that coz I knew I was gonna need some training time to figure that out and probably fillfil some requiremts as a new teacher in here.  But yesterday.... Lord.!!! I got surprised when they told me that my new classroom was an interactive one. I never thought I was going to have one in this term or unitl the end of the year or at least till I get through the training, but it wasn't necessary coz my computing skills are being a big deal of help to manage it and I'm sure that in this training time I'm gonna learn new things that will contribute to my teaching tasks and skills as I go through this term. An interactive class is the best thing I've tried since I came to Santa Cruz. :)

Blogging!!!!!

Lord!!! Can't believe how hard it's sometimes to have some time to do some blogging, at least 10 minutes per day. Good thing is I'm doing my best to do it and I'm willing to learn more about it. I feel like I'm gonna master it very soon. As for the goals of this training I think they will be fullfilled with no problems at all because we all are getting involved in this training and as for those who have more knolwdge and understanding about technology, it will be a push to share what they know. Je, je, je. I like it. What do you all think?

Copying with technology

Technology?? Well, truth is I got some computing skills but...I was always curious about how to create web sites or at least a blog for myself which I never got to do till now that I'm being sort of forced to do it. I mean... I just didn't do it because I was too busy to do it or  I thought I was too busy but now I changed my mind and I think that dealing with technology is not a big deal if you have the wish to learn and discover by yourself more about it.It's all about trying it until you get to know more about it and get what you want and need from it. I'm confident that you'll love technology if you let it make part of your life as it helps you in your daily teaching tasks.So, I'm really glad to have met many people who are always willing to help like Gabriela. She's a rock star!!! Said. What do you guys think???

WHAT'S IMPORTANT FOR A TEACHER?

THE IMPORTANT THING IS NOT SO MUCH THAT EVERY CHILD SHOULD BE TAUGHT, AS THAT EVERY CHILD SHOULD BE GIVEN THE WISH TO LEARN.
